Jennifer OlsonFounder and Health Insurance Expert
As a social worker for over 11 years I worked with children and their families in crisis situations. I have always loved working with people and helping them get through difficult times. When I was ready to make a career change insurance was a natural fit.

When people are purchasing insurance it is often because of changes in their lives that bring a client to me. Loss of job, move, divorce, birth of child etc. These are stressful situations and because of my passion for helping people, I look at my current position as a type of social work. I am able to access a clients needs and help them locate a plan that best suits any particular circumstance. Often times my clients are looking to simply make a change and are searching for someone who has in-depth knowledge of the health insurance industry and can assist in helping make sure they make right decisions for their needs.

Why Omni?

I am an educator of insurance.

I follow through and complete the tasks that I say I will do. I also am an educator. I want to take the time and not only listen to my client but also assess what their needs may be and help address those. I take additional time to discuss how plans work. As a client, you want to know what your policy doesn’t pay for as much as what it covers. I take the time to make sure my client understands how their policy works and what their responsibility is

Problem Solving

I take the time to understand the problem.

Due to my prior social work background, I am able to listen and put my clients at ease. I make sure that I understand what they are saying, what they are needing and possibly addressing things that they did not think about. I am able to present information in a way that is easy to understand and explaining something they may have been against previously but because they did not previously understand how it worked they are able to make an informed choice.

How did I get into Insurance?

You can blame my Father

He introduced me to insurance in 2008. We began working with Medicare clients and then I went out on my own. He taught me to put the client first. He would always tell me “If I help someone meet their needs mine will eventually be met as well.” It’s about taking care of people.

Where am I from?

I'm a local girl

I grew up 7 miles away from where I am now. I love the area and our community.

How do I want to be remembered?

I would like to be remembered as

Someone that brought a smile to people’s faces. As a family we have volunteered at Grace United downtown and plan on making this part of our regular routine now that are kids are getting older.

What excites me professionally?

Education my clients.

Many times people have made choices in the past and not understood their coverage or what they are responsible for. I like educating my clients and helping them understand not only their policy but what other options are and how to address other needs.

What excites me personally?

What I really enjoy is

I enjoy the outdoors and can usually be found outside; running, walking or biking. My family loves to travel and go on adventures together whether it be to St. Louis, MO or Ecuador where we enjoy seeing new things.

I’m also a bit of a beer aficionado, I love sampling different types of beers from different regions of the country. And I love football. I’m a bit of a geek who can talk stats with the best of them.
